Trump Mocks Mika Brzezinski; Says She Was ‘Bleeding Badly From a Face-Lift’

WASHINGTON — President Trump lashed out Thursday at the appearance and intellect of Mika Brzezinski, a co-host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” drawing condemnation from his fellow Republicans and reigniting the controversy over his attitudes toward women that nearly derailed his candidacy last year.

Mr. Trump’s invective threatened to further erode his support from Republican women and independents, both among voters and on Capitol Hill, where he needs negotiating leverage for the stalled Senate health care bill.

Roger Ailes, Founder of Murdoch’s Fox News, Dies at 77

Roger Ailes, a former U.S. presidential adviser who started the Fox News Channel to promote a Republican agenda and built it into the most-watched U.S. cable news network before resigning amid sexual harassment allegations, has died. He was 77.

He died Thursday, the network said, citing a statement from his wife, Elizabeth Ailes. No cause was given.

“Roger was a loving husband to me, to his son Zachary, and a loyal friend to many,” his wife said in the statement, according to Fox News. “He was also a patriot, profoundly grateful to live in a country that gave him so much opportunity to work hard, to rise—and to give back.”

Here’s who Trump should pick as the next FBI director

A former FBI agent with more than two decades of service told Business Insider in a recent interview that they believed Fran Townsend, President George W. Bush’s homeland security adviser, would be a great choice for the bureau’s next director.

The former agent, who spoke on background to provide their candid thoughts on the fallout of President Donald Trump’s bombshell firing of FBI Director James Comey last week, said Townsend would check off a lot of boxes for Trump.

No one seems to want credit for the GOP’s Obamacare replacement bill

Even as major leaders of the Republican party are publicly campaigning in favour of the passage of the American Health Care Act — their bid to repeal and replace Obamacare — it seems as if no one wants full credit for the bill.

Both House Speaker Paul Ryan and President Donald Trump’s teams have pushed back on taking on full responsibility for the contents of the AHCA, biling it as a team effort.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer was asked directly about efforts by both Trump spokesperson Kellyanne Conway and Health and Human Secretary Tom Price to push back on reporters calling the bill “Trumpcare.”

“The president is proud of it. The president is proud of the fact that we’re working with Congress. But this is a bill that is not his, it’s a joint effort that we’ve worked with the House and the Senate on,” Spicer said in a press briefing on Tuesday.
