Malia Obama has been pictured kissing a British teen believed to be her new boyfriend. The 19-year-old was spotted hanging out with Rory Farquharson, a fellow Harvard student, at a football match against Yale.
Farquharson, also 19, is from the UK and attended the posh and prestigious Rugby School, where he proudly represented the school at golf and in a chemistry club called the Blue Bunsen Society. The young couple were caught on camera having a cheeky snog before watching the game at the university in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
In the clip, taken by an onlooker, Malia is seen putting her hands on the teen’s face as they kiss in a field.
A source told the Daily Mail that Malia’s new boyfriend is ‘very popular’ and considered ‘quite a catch’, so hopefully he’s a good match for the former First Daughter.
Farquharson was reportedly appointed Head of School at Rugby School during the 2015-2016 academic year. The pupil elected to the role, usually by a head teacher, must act as a pillar of the school and a go-between for teachers and student peers.
Rugby School costs around £32,000 a year for tuition and is considered one of the UK’s top schools, though perhaps not quite as well-known as Eton or Harrow. The teen spent the summer interning at the Centre for Democracy and Peace Building in Northern Ireland. His father, Charles Farquharson is the chief executive and director of an investment fund management firm in London.
